Euro 2024: Jamal Musiala praises Lamine Yamal

Bayern midfielder commented on the Barcelona winger’s performances and spoke about the clash between Germany and Spain in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024
Jamal Musiala and Lamine Yamal face each other in the Germany – Spain quarter-finals of Euro 2024 and the German praised the Spaniard, who is already a regular at both club and international level at just 16 years old.
“Being at this level at 16 is really crazy! At 16, I wasn’t physically fit enough to train with the professionals, play consistently and reach this level,” he began by saying.

However, the Bayern midfielder reminds us that the Barcelona winger is not the only great player for the Spanish side: “It’s great to see Lamine, but Germany don’t just need to worry about him. Spain have a lot of players who add value to the team and are dangerous: Nico Williams , Pedri … they are all footballers who can decide a match on their own, but we Germans have that too and that’s why we have to have confidence in ourselves.”

Finally, the 21-year-old believes that his teammates have a little more pressure than their opponents, but at the same time, an advantage… which is playing at home: «Both teams have the quality to reach the final. In Germany we have to make an effort, playing the tournament here in our country is a great honour. It gives us extra strength. If we have the country behind us, a lot of things are possible, we feel the support. You have to make people proud and bring them joy. It’s a big responsibility, but at the same time a lot of fun.
