Bayer Leverkusen thrashes Feyenoord in Champions League
German team scores four goals in the first half and wins easily in Rotterdam

Current Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen started the 2024/25 Champions League with a bang: a 4-0 win over Feyenoord at the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam. All four goals of the match came in the first half. Attacking midfielder Wirtz scored twice, in the fifth and 36th minutes. Full-back Grimaldo scored his goal in the 30th minute, and the fourth goal was an own goal, scored by goalkeeper Wellenreuther, in injury time.
