Premier League: Chelsea interested in Aston Villa’s young promise
Omari Kellyman can play as an attacking midfielder and as a winger
With Maatsen’s likely departure to Aston Villa, Chelsea are targeting a promise from the Birmingham side to be part of the deal: Omari Kellyman. According to the Telegraph , the Blues have already started talks for the 18-year-old and the transfer could be worth around 22 million euros.
Kellyman is a product of the Derby County and Aston Villa teams, where he arrived in 2021. For the Villains ‘ first team , he played just six games (two in the Premier League), all this season, with one assist recorded.
If confirmed, it will be the second transfer made in this way between the two clubs in the last two years, after Carney Chukwuemeka, in 2022, headed to London in exchange for 18 million euros.
