PSG launches new pink uniform

Paris Saint-Germain launched the new version of its third uniform on Tuesday, for the current 2024/25 season. The French club opted for a shirt with a predominance of pink color and black details . The production is in partnership with the brand of basketball legend Michael Jordan.

The new third kit design symbolises the fusion of Parisian luxury and sporting excellence, according to a statement released by PSG. The idea is to “mix elegance and boldness, together with the spirit of the club’s new generation”.

Brazilian defender Marquinhos was one of several players who participated in the advertisements for the launch of the new shirt, as well as striker Dembélé (see the photo below).

The men’s first-team players trained in the new uniform on Tuesday. Paris Saint-Germain will face Rennes on Friday in the sixth round of the French Championship. PSG are top of Ligue 1 with 13 points from five games.

This new shirt will be used for the first time in an official match in this clash against Rennes.

The shirt is also linked, according to the club, to the 2024 Olympic Games, which were held in Paris. The launch of the uniform made reference to the song “La vie en rose” (Life in pink, in French), which became known worldwide by Édith Piaf.
