Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister responds to Cassano’s criticism
Elma Aveiro came out in defense of the Portuguese international on social media
Last week, Antonio Cassano criticized Cristiano Ronaldo , downplaying the fact that he reached 900 goals in his career at the age of 39 and stating that there were many better forwards than him in this generation of football, giving the examples of Suárez, Higuaín, Aguero , Ibrahimovic , Benzema and Lewandowski .
Last weekend, one of the Portuguese international’s sisters, Elma Aveiro, came to his defense on social media, publishing a story on Instagram with the description: “Poor man,” she wrote, addressing the current commentator on the Viva el Futbol podcast .
Cassano said that the Al Nassr player “doesn’t know how to play football” and Elma Aveiro replied that she would like to see what her brother could do if he knew how to play. Furthermore, she compared Cassano to a clown and said that he would be more suited to being a ball boy than a footballer.
