Real Madrid target, English full-back revealed his admiration for Barcelona

Real Madrid’s main target in the next transfer market , full-back Alexander-Arnold is a Barcelona fan. Spanish newspaper “Marca” has uncovered an interview from 2020 in which the Englishman revealed his appreciation for the Catalan club.
– My other favorite team is Barcelona. I feel like they have the same values and beliefs as Liverpool. They like to use youth players. I grew up watching Messi and that essential Barcelona team, with Iniesta, Xavi, Henry and Eto’o – said Arnold, in an interview with “GQ” magazine.
Alexander-Arnold came through the ranks at Liverpool and has been part of the English club’s first-team squad since 2016. The full-back has a contract with the Reds until June 2025 and has not yet shown any interest in renewing, which has sparked interest from Real Madrid.
The Spanish club have lost Carvajal for the season due to a serious knee injury. Coach Carlo Ancelotti only has Lucas Vázquez to fill the role, so the board will go to the market in January to look for a replacement.
Alexander-Arnold was already seen as the favourite to replace Carvajal in the long term. With the Spaniard injured, Real Madrid are looking to move forward with negotiations and try to sign the full-back in the next transfer window.
