THE GAME
Brugge started well in the first half and created good chances, but Milan made the most of their favoritism and went on the attack. In the 33rd minute, Pulisic had the chance to send the ball into the area and score a goal from a corner kick. The number 11 decided to send it straight into the back of the net, and counted on Mignolet’s poor positioning to score the winning goal and open the scoring. Shortly after, in the 39th minute, Club Brugge lost Onyedika, who was sent off for a foul on Reijnders.
Even with ten men less, Brugge did not give up on the game. The Belgians equalized 5 minutes into the second half with a goal from Sabbe. With their superiority on the field, Milan went after it and decided the game with Reijnders. The Dutch midfielder scored in the 15th and 25th minutes to make it 3-1 for the Italian club.
NEWCOMER
Francesco Camarda, aged 16 years and 226 days, made his Champions League debut on Tuesday. In addition to being the youngest Milan player to play in the competition, he also became the youngest Italian to make his Champions League debut.
