Brest and Bayer Leverkusen draw in the Champions League
Teams, who won the first two games in the competition, are tied 1-1, in the third round

On Tuesday, Brest and Bayer Leverkusen drew 1-1 at the Roudourou stadium in France in the third round of the Champions League. Wirtz opened the scoring for the visiting team, but Lees-Melou leveled the score in the first half.
THE GAME
The match between Brest and Bayern Leverkusen started off very close. Even playing away from home, Leverkusen had the first goal in the 18th minute, with Hofmann, but the midfielder sent it wide. With the second attempt, in the 23rd minute, the German team managed to open the scoring. Wirtz received the ball at the edge of the area and tried his luck with a shot. 1-0. Shortly after the goal, Wirtz almost scored a great goal after dribbling past Brest’s defense, but the ball ended up in the hands of the opposing goalkeeper. Leverkusen posed little threat in the second half. Tah had the team’s best chance, but Bizot saved. In the 41st minute, Brest missed Brest’s best chance to change the score. Baldé invaded the area and shot into the net from outside the goal. Without any further excitement until the end, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
