Chelsea coach is irritated by fight between players and sends message

Gallagher, captain of the Blues, had to intervene to end the confusion
Chelsea beat Everton with a resounding 6-0 rout, in the 33rd round of the Premier League, in a duel that was marked by four goals from Cole Palmer, the team’s main highlight, however, another episode gained attention, in a negative way.

During the Blues’ fifth goal, Palmer was fouled inside the area, and Madueke took the ball to take the ball. The confusion over who was going to take the penalty began, with pushing and fighting. With the intervention of captain Gallagher, he charged the team’s top scorer, finding the net for the fourth time.

In an interview with the BBC after the match, Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea coach, criticized the players’ attitude, claiming that the episode will not happen again.

– It’s a shame. It’s a process for a young team that needs to learn a lot. I was talking about this with the player after the game. This is the last time I want to see something like this. I want to apologize to the fans – he said.

– They need to learn and be professionals. We need to be focused on the collective. They knew it was Cole. Cole is the collector. It is a clear example that it is a process that we still need to learn – he added.

Chelsea only returns to the field on Saturday (20), in the FA Cup semi-final, against Manchester City.
