Manchester United: Van Nistelrooy has praise for a Portuguese player
Interim coach of the English handed over to Diogo Dalot
Diogo Dalot, Manchester United’s Portuguese international defender, contributed to Manchester United’s robust victory (5-2) against Leicester, which sealed the Red Devils’ passage to the quarter-finals of the English League Cup.
Playing on the right, Dalot provided the assist for Garnacho to score United’s second goal. In the end, Ruud van Nistelrooy, the club’s interim coach (until the more than likely arrival of Rúben Amorim), spoke to Sport TV: «Diogo is a very important member of the team. He is one of the leaders of the dressing room, he always trains in a very professional way and is always there to help the team, I was delighted.”
Surrendered to Portuguese, he added: «When something goes wrong, the next day you’re working hard. And that gives results, as we saw, with a good attendance and a good performance, which enchanted everyone.”
