Hojlund reveals conversation with Hjulmand about Rúben Amorim
The Danish coach said he was “excited” about working with the Portuguese coach, following the Sporting midfielder’s praise
After Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot , it was Rasmus Hojlund ‘s turn to talk about the imminent arrival of Rúben Amorim as Manchester United coach and the Dane was very excited about it, also revealing that he has already spoken to Morten Hjulmand about the Portuguese.
“I’m really looking forward to it. Good ideas. I’ve seen how they play. I spoke to Morten Hjulmand about it and he’s also very happy with the coach, so I’m looking forward to him setting foot here,” he began by saying in an interview with Tipsbladet , before commenting on his playing style.
“From what I’ve seen so far, it’s a three-man defensive line and it might be a little bit different to what I’ve been used to in the past. So it’s going to be exciting to see how he implements his ideas and I’m looking forward to working with a young and ambitious coach. I think that’s a good thing. He has an understanding of what modern football is all about. I don’t necessarily see the fact that he’s young as a negative. On the contrary, he might even bring something more,” he explained, also detailing the conversation he had with the Sporting midfielder , which took place during the last international break.
“We usually talk at the club or when we are with the national team about how things are going. There, he [ Morten Hjulmand ] just talked about good ideas and a slightly different approach than what he might be used to,” he concluded.
