Rosario Central cheerleaders shot dead
Andrés ‘Pillin’ Bracamonte and Daniel ‘Rana’ Atardo were shot near the Gigante de Arroyito Stadium after the game with San Lorenzo
Rosario Central fan club leader Andrés ‘Pillin’ Bracamonte and his right-hand man Daniel ‘Rana’ Atardo were shot dead near the Gigante de Arroyito stadium after the match against San Lorenzo, Argentine media reports.
According to the Argentine newspaper Olé , the two fans were shot by individuals who were riding a motorbike and were taken to the Centenario Hospital, but did not survive their serious injuries.
The same publication says that responsibility for the crime is being attributed to the Alvarado clan, rivals of Los Monos in drug trafficking in the city.
Local media reports that Andrés ‘Pillin’ Bracamonte had already been the target of 30 attempted murders — the most recent in August, when he was shot — and that in the past he has been accused of extortion, criminal association and money laundering.
It is worth remembering that earlier this year, Ángel Di María’s family was threatened in Rosario, the Benfica player’s hometown, so that the player would not return.
