Catalan coach to extend contract until 2026/27

It’s official: Pep Guardiola has renewed his contract with Manchester City. The Catalan’s new contract will run for two more seasons, until the end of the 2026/27 season, the club announced in an official statement.

The announcement was made by the club. “Pep Guardiola has signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City. The new contract means that the Catalan will spend more than a decade as City’s coach”, says the message. “Like any Manchester City fan, I am delighted that Pep’s journey with City continues, allowing his dedication, passion and innovative way of thinking to continue to shape the future of this game. Their hunger for improvement and success remains insatiable and those who will benefit from this are the players, the club and English football in general,” said general director, Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
