Real Madrid beats Getafe and gets closer to leaders Barcelona

With goals from Bellingham and Mbappé in the 15th round, Ancelotti’s team goes to 33 points and regains second place

Real Madrid beat Getafe 2-0 on Sunday in the 15th round of LaLiga. Belligham and Mbappé scored in the first half and pushed the team back into second place in the table. Getafe, on the other hand, remains on the edge of the relegation zone , in 17th place and with 13 points.

Sunday’s victory sees Real overtake Atlético de Madrid and reclaim second place in LaLiga. Furthermore, with Barcelona’s defeat on Saturday, the gap to the rival leader has narrowed to just one point – Ancelotti’s team has 33 and Barça 34. It is worth remembering that Real Madrid also has the advantage of having a game in hand, due to a postponed match against Valencia. HOW WAS THE GAME?

Getafe improved in the second half and created some danger, especially after Patrick Finn came on . The midfielder had the visitors’ best chance, hitting the post, but was unable to prevent the defeat.
