Almost a month later, Yamal will return to Barcelona’s starting eleven
The team’s dip in form coincided with the absence of the young prodigy
On 6 November, Lamine Yamal made his last start for Barcelona , in the 5-2 home win over Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League . The 17-year-old suffered an ankle injury and since then the team has only won one of their four games and lost two of them. However, Yamal has now recovered and is expected to start in the team’s next game, away to Mallorca.
Marca even guarantees that, against the team of Portuguese international Samu Costa, this Tuesday, Barcelona will start with «Yamal plus ten», given the preponderance that the youngster has had in the team – with six goals and eight assists in 17 games, for all competitions. Yamal already returned to action in the defeat against Las Palmas , playing the entire second half, but was unable to prevent the Catalans ‘ defeat .
Fermin Lopez , Dani Olmo and Pablo Torre played as wingers due to Yamal’s injury, who will thus fill a very important role on the right side of the attack for Hansi Flick’s team, who have only picked up one point in the last three La Liga matches .
