PSG president comments on Salah signing news

The director addressed the rumors that pointed to the Egyptian joining the French emblem

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke to Sky Sports on Tuesday where he made the club’s position on a possible signing of Salah on a free transfer at the end of the season quite clear.

“There is no interest,” the Qatari businessman said. “He is a fantastic player, but to be honest, we never thought about signing him. We know that many clubs would like to do it, but this rumour about us is false.”

While Salah has yet to sign a contract extension with Liverpool , he could already negotiate with other clubs in January, with a view to a summer move. For PSG, however, the focus is elsewhere. “In January, if any business opportunity arises, we will take advantage of it,” said Al-Khelaifi.

The Egyptian has expressed discontent regarding his situation at the Reds ; for now, he only has a contract that ends in June 2025 and has not yet received any proposal for renewal.
