Manchester City win!

With Kevin De Bruyne back in the starting line-up, Manchester City came out on top (and impressed)! Pep Guardiola’s men were barely threatened by Nottingham Forest, and ended their four-game losing streak in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 win, with goals from Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne and Doku.

The game guy!

Fast, a dribbler who is still capable of scoring goals. This is Jeremy Doku, Pep Guardiola’s bet for last season (2023/24). With the team having too many injuries, the Belgian has been gaining ground and delivering. Today he had another great performance, scoring in the second half and assisting De Bruyne’s goal.

De Bruyne is back with a bang

Much to Manchester City’s delight, De Bruyne returned to the starting line-up. With the same class as before the injury, the Belgian, who had been playing with limited minutes, often coming off the bench, returned in style.

In the team’s first goal, he headed the ball towards the goal, it’s true, but what counts is the assist to Bernardo Silva who, under the goalposts, only had to push it into the net. In the second goal, the Belgian showed all his class with a beautiful finish from the edge of the area.

Relief for Guardiola

After a run of seven games without a win in all competitions, including four in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola was finally able to celebrate a victory with Manchester City. Calling on the fans to support him from the start of the game, the Spaniard appeared to be more nervous than usual.

Eye on the top

With the victory, Manchester City climbs to fourth place in the table. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team now has 26 points, nine less than leaders Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest remained in sixth place, with 22 points. The team led by Nuno Espírito Santo remains in the fight for qualification for the main European competitions.
