With just a year and a half left on his contract, Lamine Yamal ‘s imminent renewal with Barcelona has been a hot topic recently, not least due to the club’s financial crisis, but Jorge Mendes has dispelled all doubts on the matter.
The 17-year-old’s agent assured the Spanish press this Monday that the renewal will happen and that it is only a matter of time: «Of course Lamine Yamal will renew with Barcelona . Lamine is Barça!», he replied, at the Golden Boy Gala , that the Spaniard was unable to attend because of the injury he suffered against Leganés.
“Now he will recover and it is something that will be fine quickly,” said the Portuguese, reassuring the Catalans’ fans, as it is estimated that he will be out of action for a month.
