Piqué challenges Barcelona rivals with huge prize
Former Blaugrana centre-back and Kings League president has written a letter to Espanyol
The Kings League, created by Gerard Pique and streamer Ibai Llanos, will soon experience one of the most special and memorable moments since its creation. In January, the Kings World Cup Nations will kick off, the first World Cup for national teams in the history of the project, which will be held in Turin, Italy.
Spain are undoubtedly one of the big favourites and Gerard Piqué proposed the idea of the team facing a La Liga club to prepare for the competition. So the former centre-back sent a letter to Espanyol , Barcelona ‘s rivals , launching a challenge with one million euros on the table.
«To prepare the Spanish team, we want to invite an opponent of our level to play a game in the Kings League format. Therefore, taking advantage of the Christmas holidays, we are thinking about the Spanish team . To give ourselves an incentive, we are willing to bet an amount of one million euros that the loser will have to pay to the winner», it can be read.
