In Bayern’s sights, Ronald Araújo rules out leaving Barça


One of Barcelona’s main names in recent seasons, 24-year-old defender Ronald Araújo continues to attract the interest of giant European clubs. 

In Bayern Munich’s sights since the transfer window, the Uruguayan (who has a contract with Barça until June 2026), however, tried to reassure the Blaugrana fans, guaranteeing his stay in Catalonia. 

“I’m very well, my family is very well, I’m very well at Barcelona, ​​I’m very happy here, I’ve been here for almost five years and I show that every time I wear this shirt on the field and I will always do that, I’m very happy for being here”, declared the defender, in an interview with TNT Sports. 

At Barça since 2018, Ronald was patient in his early days at Camp Nou and has now reaped the fruits of his work. One of the leaders of the Barcelona squad, the defender is considered the “present and future” of Barcelona, ​​according to coach Xavi Hernández. 

“For me, there is no doubt. Araujo is the present and future of Barça. He is already one of the captains and leader in the dressing room. He is a fundamental player for the future of the club”, declared Xavi.
