Ancelotti reacts to Vinicius’ suspension: “I also listen to what’s happening on the pitch”
Brazilian winger handed two-match ban after being sent off in Valencia
Vinícius Júnior will miss Real Madrid ‘s next two games in La Liga , after receiving a straight red card in the match against Valencia .
The day after the punishment became known, Merengues coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on the suspension and did not hide his dissatisfaction, remembering the insults the player received: «Like him, I also hear what is happening on the pitch. A two-game suspension is not correct. I continue to think that way.”
“We are very pleased with Vinicius , in every aspect. Everyone can say what they want. When people talk about Vinicius ’ provocation , it seems unfair to me. Because when people talk about Vinicius’ behaviour, all the insults, abuse and other things that happen to him are forgotten,” said the Italian, in a press conference.
The Brazilian winger will therefore miss the matches against Las Palmas and Valladolid , corresponding to matchdays 20 and 21, respectively.
The 24-year-old player is, however, available to play in the Spanish Super Cup, with Real Madrid facing Samu Costa ‘s Mallorca in the semi-finals of the competition, this Thursday (7pm).
