Bentancur leaves message after scare
Uruguayan midfielder collapsed unconscious in the opening minutes of the match between Spurs and Liverpool
Rodrigo Bentancur left a message on social media, reassuring Tottenham fans and football lovers after the scare in the match against Liverpool , in the English League Cup.
“Everything is fine, guys! Thanks for the messages. Congrats on the win, guys,” he wrote.
The Uruguayan midfielder, who fell unconscious, was treated for several minutes and was then taken to an ambulance. Tottenham later confirmed that the player was now conscious and would undergo further tests in a hospital.
