Transfer Market: Kvaratskhelia signs for PSG
Georgian forward becomes fourth most expensive signing in French club’s history
PSG announced this Friday the biggest signing so far in this winter market: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia signs for the club of Gonçalo Ramos , João Neves , Vitinha and Nuno Mendes until 2029.
The 23-year-old forward cost the French club €70 million. Kvaratskhelia left Napoli after two and a half seasons, having been one of the stars of the team that won the Serie A title in 2022/23. In total, he scored 30 goals in 107 appearances for the Neapolitans.
The Georgian was a priority in this market for PSG coach Luis Enrique, with a view to winning Ligue 1 and qualifying for the next phase of the UEFA Champions League – the team is 25th in the league phase, in a place of elimination from the competition.
Kvaratskhelia is the fourth most expensive signing in PSG’s history, after Neymar (222 million euros), Kylian Mbappé (180 million euros) and Randal Kolo Muani (95 million euros).
