Pogba prepares return but doesn’t want just any club

With the green light to return to action in March, after serving a doping suspension , Paul Pogba is already preparing his return to football, but guarantees that he will be very selective, not being available for any offer that comes his way.

“There are proposals, then there are interesting things and others not so interesting… Russia and so on, there were proposals, but that is not the objective. We have other objectives. A club that plays in the UEFA Champions League ? Why not? If it comes, of course, why not? We always want to be in the best clubs. After that, it doesn’t depend on me, it depends on many other things”, he said in conversation with the streamer AmineMaTue.

Marseille have been one of the clubs linked with the French international, however president Pablo Longoria was not clear on this possibility when commenting on the matter in December: «At the moment, there are no advanced talks for various reasons. I have enormous respect for this world-class player. We must analyse the situation once he is on the market. For now, it is more speculation and a dream than a reality.»

Initially suspended for four years after testing positive for testosterone in August 2023, Paul Pogba saw the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduce his sentence to 18 months, allowing him to return in March this year. His last club was Juventus: his relationship ended on November 15 last year, by mutual agreement.
