Furious Amorim smashes TV after defeat to Brighton
The Athletic reports that, contrary to what is customary, the coach spoke to the team immediately after the game and was not lenient.
Ruben Amorim lost his patience and could not contain his anger in the dressing room after Manchester United’s defeat at home to Brighton on Sunday (1-3).
The Athletic website writes this Tuesday that, in addition to the unusual shouting at the players, Ruben Amorim damaged a television in the locker room, during a heated scolding after the team’s performance.
According to the same source, these were strong words and his entire reaction was surprising to the players, because normally the coach does not speak to the players straight after the game.
It was the seventh defeat in 15 games, after a slight recovery with the victory (with a comeback) over Southampton and a draw with Liverpool and Arsenal’s elimination from the Cup.
The Athletic cites multiple sources who say the television, which was used to communicate tactics to players, was damaged and will have to be repaired.
