Victory with a Brazilian twist
Arsenal beat Girona 2-1 on Wednesday at the Montilivi stadium in Spain and finished the 2024/25 Champions League in third place overall with 19 points. The English team was already well on its way to securing a place in the round of 16 and secured it with this victory. Danjuma opened the scoring for Girona in the 28th minute of the first half, but Jorginho (from the penalty spot) in the 38th minute and Nwaneri in the 42nd minute secured Arsenal’s victory. Sterling also missed a penalty kick in injury time.
