Sancho’s message to Rashford post-United: ‘Freedom’
The two players left Manchester and now represent Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Marcus Rashford made his Aston Villa debut on Sunday in the FA Cup win over Tottenham , and took to Instagram to thank fans for their “warm welcome”.
More interesting, however, was one of the responses he received, namely from former Manchester United teammate Jadon Sancho, now at Chelsea, who simply replied: “Freedom.”
The forward, who had not been an option for the Portuguese coach since the beginning of December, was loaned to Aston Villa until the end of the season. And Amorim did not want any more questions about the transfer market… or about a player he no longer has in the squad. «Luckily, Marcus is now in Birmingham with Unai [Emery] (laughs), so they can take the questions to another coach in the coming months. We are just focused on our players. We are fighting for our jobs until the summer», he said last week.
