The Saudi Arabian League’s Disciplinary and Ethics Committee has fined Jorge Jesus for criticising the refereeing in the last matchday’s draw against Al Riyadh (1-1). The Al Hilal coach will have to pay 20 thousand euros for having published a note on social media in which, among other criticisms of the Saudi referees, he declared that they “don’t know any better”.

Jorge Jesus will have to pay an additional 5,000 euros for making statements at the press conference after the match that were considered offensive towards the refereeing team. Al Hilal has already spoken out on several occasions in favour of using teams of foreign referees in the Saudi League.
