Meet Marc Guiu – Age, Family, Bio
Born in Granollers , Barcelona , Catalonia , Guiu began his career with Penya Barcelonista Sant Celoni, a Barcelona fan club , in La Liga. He joined Barcelona in the 2013–14 season, progressed through the La Masia academy and was called up to the senior squad for the first time in June 2023, ahead of pre-season games against Celta Vigo and Japanese opposition Vissel Kobe . Guiu made his unofficial debut for Barcelona in the latter game, replacing Robert Lewandowski at half-time.
On 11 October 2023, he was again called up to the senior squad for a La Liga game against Granada, although he did not participate in the game. In the same month, he was chosen by the English newspaper The Guardian as one of the best players born in 2006 in the world. On 22 October, Guiu scored on his senior competitive debut in a 1–0 victory over Athletic Bilbao , coming on as a substitute in the 79th minute and scoring the winner after just 23 seconds on the pitch with his first shot on target.

Playing style
Barcelona youth coach Iván Carrasco describes Guiu as a “classic ‘9’, a specialist in the area who exploits his physical strength”. He has a good high ball game, pace, strength and work rate.
Your debut
The player joined Catalan club FC Barcelona’s La Masia football academy in 2013. Ten years later he made his first appearance for the second team and on October 22, 2023 for the professional team of the Primera División, the highest league in the country. In the home game against Athletic Bilbao, he scored the winning goal for 1–0 33 seconds after coming on as a substitute.
