“Salah is having a season like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo”
Liverpool player has 30 goals and 21 assists in 38 games

Words are beginning to fail us as to what Mohamed Salah has been doing this season. Liverpool ‘s Egyptian forward has already scored 30 goals and provided 21 assists in 38 games.
But who can simply describe the numbers presented by the 32-year-old player, whose contract with the Reds is coming to an end: «He is having a Messi Cristiano Ronaldo season ».
A simple comparison, but one that says a lot, and which was made by Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool player and current commentator on Sky Sports.
This will go down as the best season we’ve ever seen from a player, there’s no doubt about that,” he said, pointing to his most goalscoring involvement in Premier League history .
Records show that Alan Shearer and Andy Cole have been the best so far, having been involved in 47 goals – Salah has 41 in the league (25 goals and 16 assists) – but Carragher has no doubt that the two England legends will be overtaken.
“It’s not just about finishing ahead of those players, it’s about him probably setting the bar so high that no one else will be able to get there in the future,” he believes, summing up: “We’re seeing something special.”
