Called up to the Brazilian national team by Dorival Júnior last Thursday, João Pedro decided Brighton’s 2-1 comeback victory over Fulham this Saturday in the Premier League. The Brazilian center forward scored the winning goal in the 53rd minute of the second half.
João Pedro scored from the penalty spot and scored his eighth goal in the competition. Earlier, in the first half, Jan Paul van Hecke had equalised the game, while Giménez opened the scoring for Fulham.
The Brazilian striker was celebrated by fans and teammates at the end of the game. Brighton’s official social media profile said: “João Pedro doesn’t make mistakes.”
João Pedro is 23 years old and was discovered by Fluminense. He was sold by the tricolor club to Watford in 2020 and transferred to Brighton in 2023
