Pep Guardiola appoints striker who can match the level of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
Pep Guardiola , one of football’s great coaches, named a striker who has a chance of equaling the feats of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo .
The commander is an idol at Barcelona , in Spain, where he worked with Lionel Messi and helped him become a great star. Likewise, he achieved great titles with the Blaugrana team and has been repeating this with Manchester City, in England.
Pep marked his name in the club’s history by winning the team’s first Champions League. Still, a striker being commanded by the Spaniard has its share.
Who can match Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo?
This is Erling Haaland . In an interview in April this year, Pep stated that the Norwegian has the mentality to reach the stars. “To reach the level of Cristiano and Messi, it takes a lot of work”, began Pep.
“They have never been seriously injured (in their career). Erling is very tall, he is huge, so he needs a lot of care from the physiotherapists. But since I met him, I see that he has the right mentality. His mind is on the right path,” he argued.
Still, Guardiola stated that Haaland has characteristics that are more similar to Cristiano Ronaldo. “The other two, Cristiano and Haaland, are more like machines. But Erling knows that these two guys dominated football for two decades, not just one year,” he highlighted.
