‘Everything is fine between me and the club’: Muller thanks Bayern fans

Thomas Muller has said there are no hard feelings between him and Bayern after the club announced the player would leave the Munich outfit after 25 years.

“There will be no negative feelings between me and the club. We are looking to the future and we are in tune. In life you don’t always have to agree to row in the same direction. We have common goals and interests. We can look each other in the eye and have a positive outlook,” he said in a video shared on his Instagram account.

The Germany international also appealed to fans to support the team in their Champions League quarter-final against Inter on Tuesday to help the club reach the May 31 final in their own stadium — “That’s when we’ll need you, all Bayern fans ” — and thanked them for their support throughout his career, which began with the first team in 2008 (743 appearances and 33 trophies).

\“Thank you for the enormous appreciation you have shown me over the last 17 years and especially in the last few days. It means a lot to me. It means a lot to me that you have enjoyed, at least a little, what I have done on and off the pitch,” he stressed.
