Twenty minutes later, Crystal Palace scored their second goal. After a corner kick by Wharton, Chris Richards, in the penalty area, rose and headed the ball into the goal. Palace also had a goal disallowed for offside in the 27th minute. However, trailing on the scoreboard, Guardiola’s team exchanged passes and looked for space. In the 32nd minute, De Bruyne took a free kick into the corner to reduce the score. And in the 35th minute, after exchanging passes, the ball was crossed to De Bruyne, who headed it into the middle of the area. Gundogan tried to hit the goal, but Marmoush was left to make it all even.

The second half began as the first had ended: with Manchester City putting pressure on Crystal Palace. Just one minute in, a through ball was passed to O’Reilly, who crossed low, and De Bruyne laid it off for Kovacic to score and turn the game around. In the 10th minute, after a great pass from Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, McAtee controlled the ball, took it away from Henderson, and hit it into the empty net. With the score in their favor, the home team had more time to work the ball around. In the 33rd minute, McAtee received the ball on the right wing, invaded the area, and crossed. Crystal Palace’s defense tried to clear it, and O’Reilly made a first-time pass to extend the lead. After that, Guardiola’s team just waited for the clock to run out and secured a comeback victory over Crystal Palace.

BRAZILIAN EDERSON INJURED

Goalkeeper Ederson played a part in Manchester City’s fourth goal. The Brazilian passed the ball to McAtee, who controlled it and extended the lead in the tenth minute. However, in the 24th minute, during one of the moments when the team was working the ball in the defensive half, the player touched the ball and ended up feeling it. Ederson was treated on the field, but ended up being replaced by Ortega.
