Conte frustrated in Naples: “There is much that cannot be done here”
Coach still fighting for Serie A title, but remembers Kvaratskhelia’s departure in January
With Antonio Conte, Napoli has resurfaced and this Saturday, if they beat Monza , they will catch up with Inter at the top of Serie A (although with one more game).
But despite having a contract until 2027, there are reports that he could leave at the end of the season (he has no release clause, which would allow him to resign by paying only a residual fine) and the coach did little in yesterday’s press conference to reassure fans.
«At the beginning of the year I said many things, some I can confirm, others I can’t. I said that Napoli should not be a passing club, but I don’t want to be a liar about things that were not fulfilled,” he said, referring specifically to Kvaratskhelia ‘s departure to PSG in January. “In eight months here I realized that there are many things that cannot be done,” he lamented.
