Cole Palmer is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Chelsea and the England national team. Palmer was born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England on 6 May 2002. He began his career with Manchester City, joining the club’s academy at the age of six. He quickly made a name for himself within City’s youth ranks, winning several individual awards, including the 2022 City Academy Young Player of the Year award. Palmer made his professional debut for City in the 2020–21 season, aged 18. He made 10 appearances for City that season, scoring one goal. On 1 September 2023, Palmer transferred to Chelsea for €47 million. He made his debut for Chelsea the following day, coming on as a substitute in a 2–1 win over Nottingham Forest.
