Ancelotti talks about the draw against Rayo Vallecano
The Merengues coach was also asked about Mbappé, ending up ‘evading’ the question.
Moments after Real Madrid’s draw at Rayo Vallecano (1-1), this Sunday, Carlo Ancelotti lamented the lack of effectiveness in the opportunities the team had, having also been faced with Kylian Mbappé and the loss of two players to the next journey.
“I think we even started well and scored. We could have closed the issue, even with that shot against Valverde’s post. Until the penalty, we did everything well. Then the game changed, with more duels and interruptions. It’s a draw that won’t let us happy, but we are well positioned in the lead and we have to think about the next game”, he began by saying.
Regarding the fact of not being able to count on Eduardo Camavinga and Carvajal, due to protest and expulsion, respectively, the Italian coach made his thoughts clear: “I will talk about it personally with the two players. It was a match with a lot of duels, a lot of fighting and a small protest can be misinterpreted”, he then stressed.
“Mbappé generates deconcentration? When have we not been focused? I think always. They simply didn’t go so well. Blaming this team for something this season is complicated,” he added.
