Benzema reveals whether he intends to return to European football

Striker Karim Benzema , amid speculation about his possible departure from Al-Ittihad and return to European football, clarified his future plans after an important victory in the Asian Champions League.
Benzema has emphasized that he has no intention of returning to European football, refuting the rumors that circulated during the last transfer window.
Although a possible bad relationship with coach Marcelo Gallardo was speculated as one of the reasons for his departure, Benzema clarified that there was no friction and that his absence in a previous game was due to a matter of physical fitness, as per the coach’s instructions.
“I have no problem with the Gallardo. Anyone who says I want to return to Europe is a liar,” said the 36-year-old player.

The star also highlighted his satisfaction in playing for Al-Ittihad, stating: “I am very happy at Al Ittihad. For my part, I have no problem with anyone ,” he said.
After playing just his second game in 2024, Benzema expressed his happiness at returning to the pitch. “I’m back and now I’m better. The stories about my departure are not true and I am happy in Saudi Arabia”, declared the striker.
With his words, Benzema dispelled speculation about his future and reiterated his commitment to Al-Ittihad, demonstrating his desire to contribute to the Saudi team’s success in the Asian Champions League and other future competitions.
The number 9 was a starter in the 2-1 victory over Navbahor Namangan, last Thursday (22), but did not find the net in favor of his team. This is because the attacker ended up scoring an own goal.
