‘Citizens’ win 6-2, Haaland scored five, De Bruyne assisted four
Manchester City came to the small but charismatic Kenilworth Road to show why they are possibly the best team in the world. In one of the best – if not the best – performances of this season, Pep Guardiola’s men gave Luton no chance and advanced in the FA Cup, winning 6-2.
The first half proved to be a real nightmare for central defender Mengi, in charge of marking Erling Haaland: three times, Kevin De Bruyne found the Norwegian appearing behind him and, against Krul, there was no chance: three goals from the bomber, who capped off one of Manchester City’s most dominant first halves in recent memory.
