Jim Ratcliffe officially becomes co-owner of Manchester United
British billionaire acquired 25 percent of the Red Devils from the Glazer family, owners of the English club for almost 20 years
Jim Ratcliffe was made official as co-owner of Manchester United, after the process was approved by the Premier League and the English Federation. In a statement, the Red Devils inform that the purchase of 25 percent of the club’s shares by the British multimillionaire, owner of the multinational chemical industry INEOS, has been completed.
The deal, according to the English press, was valued at 1.4 billion euros. Jim Ratcliffe, aged 71, has a fortune valued at 21 billion euros and is the richest man in the United Kingdom, having already promised huge renovation works at Old Trafford, as well as fresh money to invest in signings for the squad.
