Joachim Low, World Cup-winning coach with Germany, rules out Bayern: ‘I’m not interested’

Joachim Low, former coach of the German national team, has ruled out the possibility of taking charge of Bayern Munich next season.
Big clubs are going through problems this season and will have to change coaches. Xavi, at Barcelona; Klopp, at Liverpool; and Tuchel, at Bayern, are some examples.

For the latter, the name of Joachim Low, former coach of the German national team, was considered behind the scenes. Something that the coach himself ruled out in statements to ‘Bild’.

“For several reasons. First, Bayern are probably not interested in me as a coach and I’m not interested in Bayern either,” he said.

“I was a national team coach for a long time and I have always said that a coaching position here in Germany is beyond my reach. Of course, clubs are a very good option, but for me that is no longer a motivation.”

“I’m not retired, but I just want to do something that I’m 100% convinced of. But that offer hasn’t been put on the table yet,” he added.

“What is a target for me is the World Cup. After the domestic cups, some teams want to regain momentum and perhaps look for qualified coaches again. I am open to this from the summer onwards and then I will look at the options available,” he concluded.
