Jurrien Timber back at Arsenal after half a year absence

The central defender was signed from Ajax last summer but has only played two games for the Londoners

Signed from Ajax in the last summer market, for around 45 million euros, Jurrien Timber returned to Arsenal training this Wednesday, after half a year of absence, caused by a serious injury to his right knee (torn ligaments crossed).

Through social media, the Gunners shared the good news of the return of the 22-year-old Dutch international, who is preparing to return to Mikel Arteta’s options for the decisive phase of the season. Timber has already trained on the pitch, but still in a conditioned manner, so he will hardly be ready for the duel with FC Porto, in the 2nd leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League, scheduled for March 12th.
