Jordan Henderson insists he has no regrets about leaving Liverpool in the summer to sign for Saudi side Al Ettifaq. The 33-year-old midfielder returned to Europe in January to wear the colors of Ajax .

«I think it was the right time for me. It was the best decision. If we look at Virgil [Van Dijk] who became captain, Trent [Alexander-Arnold] who became vice-captain], we see that they stood out again this season. I think it gave them another boost. Liverpool have two great players there. I think it was the best for the team and the club. It’s football and we have to move on,” he said, in an interview with The Guardian .

The England international also commented on Klopp’s already announced departure from the Reds at the end of the season.
“I just hope it’s a fairytale ending for him, for the boys and for the club. Everyone deserves it. I was captain there and they will be my friends and brothers for the rest of my life. I hope they can finish the season on a high note and with trophies,” he said.
