At the 64th minute, Gabriel Martinelli , starter in the match and scorer of the Gunners ‘ third goal , was replaced by his compatriot Gabriel Jesus . The Brazilian international had to leave the field due to injury and, from the images captured, it is clear that the problem could be of some serious nature.
As he left the pitch, Gabriel Martinelli needed help from two members of Arsenal ‘s medical team as he was unable to place his foot on the ground.
The Brazilian striker is one of the main figures of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal , so his removal could mean a loss of weight before the reception to FC Porto to play the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League .
Martinelli will still be evaluated. Before hosting the Dragons, the Gunners will still host Brentford on Saturday, in a match counting for round 28 of the Premier League .
