Klopp frustrated with yet another Liverpool defeat

The German coach was unhappy with the opportunities his players missed and did not hold back on his words
Liverpool lost again at home, this time to Crystal Palace in the Premier League , after a heavy defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League in midweek.
After the final whistle, Jurgen Klopp justified this poor performance, with Thursday’s game, but he didn’t mince words: «Yes, that’s how humans react, sometimes. It’s not good, but it happens. The conviction wasn’t there. We were very far from each other. The last line was too far back, the midfield wasn’t there, the first line didn’t press. They were horrible to see.”
The German didn’t want to focus only on Curtis Jones ‘s failure , in a one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, and recalled the other opportunities of all the forwards: «We had bigger opportunities than Curtis Jones’. We had Darwin ‘s opportunity , he hits the ball with all his strength, if he had been placed more there wouldn’t be a chance for the goalkeeper. Similar to Diogo Jota . Salah ‘s opportunity , he hits the Palace player on the line. It was horrible, but we didn’t score there.”

Robertson also reacted to this heavy blow to the club’s aspirations to become champions again: «I don’t know, the fans were anxious today, and rightly so with the way we were passing the ball, giving it to the opponent and giving opportunities. Maybe we reacted to that, maybe it’s because we have players who don’t have experience of being in a title fight, but we are all quality players and when you’re at Liverpool you have to deal with that pressure.”
