Copa América: Otamendi fights for place in the team

He was a substitute in Argentina’s Copa América debut; Di María should rest with Chile

Nicolás Otamendi discusses with Lisandro Martínez a place in the center of Argentina ‘s defense for the game against Chile, early in the morning, in the second round of Group A of the Copa América, in New Jersey, United States.
The Reds’ captain started the game on the bench and came on in the 68th minute in Argentina ‘s debut against Canada (2-0), in Atlanta. Coach Lionel Scaloni preferred the pair Lisandro Martínez (Man. United)-Cristián Romero (Tottenham), but the Argentine press reports that Otamendi has the chance to start with Chile.
Ángel Di María was on the field for 68 minutes in Argentina’s debut against the Canadians and should now be rested by Scaloni. The Benfica forward , it seems, will be replaced by Nicolás González (Fiorentina) or Giovani Lo Celso (Tottenham).
