German midfielder bids farewell to the ‘merengues’ after ten seasons in the Spanish capital
June 30, 2024, officially marks Toni Kroos ‘ farewell as a Real Madrid player and the German made sure to leave a message appropriate to the occasion. Through his Instagram account , the 34-year-old midfielder ended his 10-year stint with the Merengues by sharing two photos showing the trophies he won while playing for the European champions, accompanied by a short text.
“The first photo shows the missing piece in the second! Today is officially my last day as a Real Madrid player . It’s strange, but I will always be one of you. Always grateful!” wrote the German international.
In 10 seasons with Real Madrid, Kroos participated in 465 games, where he scored 28 goals and provided 98 assists. He won an impressive 22 titles with the Whites and leaves the club a legend.
It should be remembered that Kroos is currently serving the German team at Euro 2024 and will end his football career after the competition.
