Meet the beautiful family of Brazilian player Endrick
Born in Taguatinga , Distrito Federal , Endrick started playing football at the age of four. His father, Douglas Sousa, published his son’s goals on YouTube , a social video network, and looked for interested parties among the big Brazilian clubs. When he was eight years old, Endrick played for Brasília Fut Academy, a team in the region that had a partnership with São Paulo ; Eventually, the São Paulo tricolor invited the attacker to live in the club’s accommodation. However, the deal did not materialize after São Paulo refused Douglas’ request for the club to give him housing or a job in the capital.
Douglas then returned to posting videos on the internet with Endrick’s efforts in the Go Cup (a children’s tournament with teams from around the world), who scored seventeen goals in seven games. The publication reached Palmeiras , who invited Endrick for a week of testing. The boy was approved and moved with his parents to the capital of São Paulo, joining the Palmeiras under-11 team; the club gave Douglas a job as a cleaning assistant at the club. During the five years he was in the youth teams, he scored 165 goals in 169 games.
At the age of fifteen, Endrick helped Palmeiras win the 2022 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior . For the tournament, he scored five goals in five games; in the game against ASSU he scored his first goal and also became the youngest Palmeiras player to score a goal in the tournament. In the final against Santos , he was responsible for opening the scoring. At the end of the championship he received the awards for best player and most beautiful goal.
Being the youngest player to play and score a goal as a professional for Palmeiras ,he is considered one of the biggest promises in Brazilian and international football.
