Euro 2024: Four important Spanish players will not play semi-final
Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand, suspended for accumulating cards, and Pedri, due to injury, will miss the next Spanish national team game
Spain secured their place in the Euro 2024 semi-finals on Friday after beating host Germany 2-1 in extra time. The Spanish national team does not yet know who their opponents will be in the next phase of the tournament, but they already know that they will be without three regular starters: Dani Carvajal , Robin Le Normand and Pedri .
Robin Le Normand received his second yellow card of the competition and will therefore have to serve a one-match ban. Dani Carvajal , who received his second yellow card of Euro 2024 in the 100th minute, was sent off in the 120+6′ minute and will also miss the semi-finals.
Pedri will be out of the next Spanish match due to injury. The Barcelona midfielder was the victim of a hard tackle from Toni Kroos after just three minutes and had to be substituted minutes later. Everything suggests that he will not recover in time for the semi-final, which will take place next Tuesday.
