Official: Former Benfica player joins Reims
Aurélio Buta leaves the Bundesliga and heads to Ligue 1, on loan from Frankfurt, with an option to buy
Reims announced this Thursday the signing of Aurélio Buta , who arrived from Frankfurt , on loan until the end of the season, but with an option to buy.
Trained at Benfica , the Portuguese player spent two years in the Bundesliga , where he was a regular presence on the Germans’ right wing, and will have his third experience abroad, after also playing for Antwerp for four years.
“We are delighted to welcome Aurélio Buta, our new right-back. He is a fast player, capable of running multiple times on the pitch and livening up the game offensively. His experience in Portugal, Belgium and Germany attests to his ability to adapt to different leagues. His experience at the highest level and his maturity will be great assets for our team this season,” said Mathieu Lacour, Reims director, to the club’s channel.
